Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of the Vertical Way app, published by VERTICAL MOBI LTDA. By installing and using the app, you agree to them.

What the app is

Vertical Way logs and organises a vehicle’s costs and events: fuel, expense, service, trip, odometer reading, reminder and income. From what you log, it works out average consumption, cost per kilometre and forecasts.

What the app is not

Vertical Way is not an accounting, tax or financial advice tool, and the figures it shows do not replace professional guidance. The calculations come only from what you log: an incomplete or incorrect record produces an incomplete or incorrect result.

Maintenance reminders are an organising aid, not a technical recommendation. The correct interval for a service, an oil change or any other work is the one in your vehicle’s manual and the one your mechanic gives you.

The tyre pressure tip is informational. The correct pressure is the one specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices you control, for your own purposes or for your professional activity.

You may not: decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except to the extent the law allows; resell, sublicense or distribute the app; or use it for unlawful activity.

Your data and your content

The content you log is yours. In version 1.0 it stays on your device and we have no access to it. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

Keeping a backup is your responsibility. Because the data stays on the device, losing the device, wiping it or uninstalling the app deletes the records. Use your operating system’s backup and the app’s own export, which is free and costs nothing.

Price

Version 1.0 is free, with no advertising and no in-app purchase. The Free plan covers up to 5 vehicles and 100 MB of attachments.

If we offer a paid plan in the future, it will be presented clearly before any charge, billing will be processed by Apple, and the subscription can be cancelled at any time in your App Store account settings. Nothing you have already logged will be locked behind a plan.

Availability

We work to keep the app running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and where we do we will give reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VERTICAL MOBI LTDA is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app.

Nothing in these terms removes the rights that Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code, or any equivalent mandatory consumer law, gives you.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate the licence if these terms are breached.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. The consumer’s home jurisdiction is the agreed venue for disputes, in line with Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with them. Material changes will be announced inside the app.
