Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of the Vertical Way app, published by VERTICAL MOBI LTDA. By installing and using the app, you agree to them.

What the app is

Vertical Way logs and organises a vehicle’s costs and events: fuel, expense, service, trip, odometer reading, reminder and income. From what you log, it works out average consumption, cost per kilometre and forecasts.

What the app is not

Vertical Way is not an accounting, tax or financial advice tool, and the figures it shows do not replace professional guidance. The calculations come only from what you log: an incomplete or incorrect record produces an incomplete or incorrect result.

Maintenance reminders are an organising aid, not a technical recommendation. The correct interval for a service, an oil change or any other work is the one in your vehicle’s manual and the one your mechanic gives you.

The tyre pressure tip is informational. The correct pressure is the one specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

The nearby station suggestion is a guess, not a fact: it comes from your device’s position and from the list of places Google returns around it, and either one can be wrong or out of date. The station that counts is the one you confirm in the field. The suggestion can be changed at any time and turned off under More › Settings › Records.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices you control, for your own purposes or for your professional activity.

You may not: decompile, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except to the extent the law allows; resell, sublicense or distribute the app; or use it for unlawful activity.

Your account

The account is optional. Without one, records stay on the device alone; an account is required to sync, attach files, use in-app contact and belong to a company. You can create one with an email address and a password, or sign in with Google or with Apple.

You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything done on your account. Write to contato@verticalmobi.com if you suspect someone else has got in. An account is personal: do not share it.

We may suspend or close an account used for unlawful activity or in breach of these terms.

You can delete your account inside the app, under More › My account › Delete account. Deletion is permanent. It removes the active fleet’s Cloud Firestore documents, the authentication profile and the local copy; attachment objects already in Firebase Storage are not deleted automatically by that flow. Delete attachments from their records first or request erasure through the contact below.

Your data and your content

The content you log is yours. We store it only to provide the service: to sync your records across your devices and give them back when you sign in again. We do not use your content for anything else. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

Attachments and Firebase Storage

Files you attach to a record are uploaded to Firebase Storage, from Google, under the fleet and record they belong to. The app also syncs the file’s reference, name, type, size, vehicle and author in Cloud Firestore.

You must sign in to attach a file. Active administrators can reach fleet attachments; active drivers can reach only attachments for vehicles assigned to them. The app enforces a configurable storage allowance and refuses a new upload when no space remains.

Deleting an attachment inside its record deletes the matching Firebase Storage object. Account deletion alone does not run that sweep, so remove attachments first or request erasure at contato@verticalmobi.com.

Keep your own copy

Keep your own copy of anything that matters. We sync and store your records, but we do not promise to be your permanent archive: deleting a record, or deleting your account, is final, and a failure on our side is possible as with any service. Exporting your timeline is free and costs nothing, and that is what it is for.

Price

The app is free, with no advertising and no in-app purchase. The Free plan covers up to 5 vehicles. Attachments use a service-defined storage allowance enforced before each upload.

If we offer a paid plan in the future, it will be presented clearly before any charge, billing will be processed by Apple, and the subscription can be cancelled at any time in your App Store account settings. Nothing you have already logged will be locked behind a plan.

Availability

We work to keep the app running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and where we do we will give reasonable notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VERTICAL MOBI LTDA is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the app.

Nothing in these terms removes the rights that Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code, or any equivalent mandatory consumer law, gives you.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling removes the local copy and does not delete your account: to erase everything, use the account deletion described above. We may terminate the licence if these terms are breached.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Brazilian law. The consumer’s home jurisdiction is the agreed venue for disputes, in line with Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with them. Material changes will be announced inside the app.
